Ross Man To Stand Trial For Allegedly Strangling Ex-Girlfriend

Robert Metz, 68, is accused of killing Dolores Miller, 58.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A township man will stand trial for allegedly killing a Sheraden woman in his residence in the Perrytowne Place Apartments in June.

Robert Metz, 68, has been charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of former girlfriend Dolores Miller, 58. WTAE-TV reported that at a preliminary hearing on Friday, a township police detective testified that Metz admitted to strangling Miller after she went to his apartment to retrieve some belongings.

Miller’s body was discovered in the apartment on June 20, three days after she last was seen at her job at the Westin Convention Center hotel, Downtown.
