Ross Park Mall: Big Changes Coming To Sears Space

The space being vacated by the struggling retailer won't be vacant for long, the mall's owner promises.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The owner of Ross Park Mall is promising a “transformational redevelopment” of the space being vacated by Sears.

Simon, which owns many malls across the country, plans a new dining hall, new retailers, restaurants and entertainment. Construction is slated to begin in January with the redeveloped department store area opening in mid-2020.

“We are excited to redevelop the former Sears store with uses that will benefit the community and the existing retailers in these properties,” Michael E. McCarty, chief operating officer of Simon Malls, said in a statement.
