Ross Park Mall Planning Massive Redevelopment
Details of the major expansion have begun to emerge; specifics will be formally announced next week.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ross Park Mall will get a new theater, fitness facility, retail and restaurants, a three-story addition and a two-story stand-alone retail building under a massive redevelopment plan centered around the former Sears store.
Additionally, the mall food court will be relocated.
Mall owners Simon Properties on Tuesday confirmed that additional details of the multimillion-dollar project will be revealed next week.

"We're looking forward to presenting our exciting redevelopment plans for Ross Park Mall to the Ross Township Board of Commissioners at next Monday night's public hearing,” said Scott Richardson, the company’s vice president of development.
After Sears closed its store in the mall, Simon promised a "transformational redevelopment" of the space being vacated by Sears.

"We are excited to redevelop the former Sears store with uses that will benefit the community and the existing retailers in these properties," Michael E. McCarty, chief operating officer of Simon Malls, said at the time.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Ross Commissioner Steve Korbel provided initial details of the expansion plans and renderings of the redevelopment.
