Ross Planning Commission Approves New Auto Repair Shop

Site had previously been an auto detailing business.

The Ross Planning commission voted 6-0 Thursday to allow operation of an auto repair shop at 2136 Babcock Boulevard.

David Petrakos told the commission he planned to offer state safety inspections, emissions inspections, and mechanical repair services. He would not be doing any body work. He also said he has been working for 15 years in the auto repair business and this is his first attempt at running his own shop.

The commissioners told Petrakos he would be required to park any vehicles awaiting repair in the rear of the property, and that a dumpster would have to be enclosed and moved farther back from Babcock Boulevard.
