Ross: Thompson Run Road Traffic Torture Begins Monday
The $2.2 million Thompson Run Road paving project will cause headaches for motorists until the Christmas season.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - It’s going to be difficult getting around Thompson Run Road for the next four months. Allegheny County’s Department of Public Works will begin paving operations on the road between Vilsack and McIntyre roads beginning Aug. 21.
The work, which includes drainage improvements, milling, paving, guiderail improvements, signal work and new signage, will be performed between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily, including weekends. Expect single-lane closures with flagging.
Work on a slope adjacent to Thompson Run Road will result in its closure between West Sutter Road and White Oak Drive. Traffic will be detoured using McIntyre Road, McKnight Road and Siebert Road. The closure begins Aug. 28 and will last until mid-October.
