Ross Township BJ's Wholesale Club To Have Beer-Wine Garden
The wholesale club has obtained a liquor license for its new beer garden and eatery.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The soon-to-open BJ's Wholesale Club at The Block Northway will have a beer and wine garden-style eatery.
The township has approved a liquor license transfer from Kassab's restaurant on the South Side to the wholesale club, similar to Costco and Sam's Club, that will be located on the site of the former Northway Elementary School. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board still must approve the transfer.
The membership-only BJ's Club has warehouses in 17 states and employs approximately 25,000 team members, both full- and part-time. Clubs are found in Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York,Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Ohio and Michigan.

The club has 6 million members and does $12.7 billion in annual sales, according to its website. BJ's says it offers 25 percent or more savings on a representative basket of manufacturer-branded groceries compared to traditional supermarket competitors. BJ's provides a curated assortment focused on perishable products, continuously refreshed general merchandise, gas and other ancillary services.
The Block Northway does not list an opening date for the warehouse on its website.
