Ross Township & West View Closings and Delays Due to Hurricane Sandy

Below is a growing list of closings related to the worsening weather from Hurricane Sandy.
North Hills School District
- All activities and athletics cancelled after 6 p.m. Monday
- All schools closed Tuesday, Oct. 30
- Schools reopen Wed., Oct 31 after 2 hour delay
In a statement, the district said its decision was based on a "recommendation by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as Allegheny County has been declared in a state of emergency. This decision also was made in consultation with other local superintendents."

Pennsylvania Wine and Liquor Stores
- Closed after 3 p.m.
- No word yet about Tuesday
Governor Corbett has ordered that all non-essential state employees stay home on Tuesday.

Community College of Allegheny County
- CCAC North as well as CCAC Allegheny, Boyce and South campuses closed at 4 p.m. Monday
- All CCAC campuseswill be closed all day Tuesday, and all classes, labs, clinical experiences, offices, and student and other activities have been cancelled.
- Only emergency personnel should remain or report to CCAC locations.
