Say Goodbye to Indian Summer, Big Change in the Weather Coming

If your lawn is littered with leaves (like mine) you might want to get started sooner rather than later is raking them up. The weather this weekend is only going to get worse as forecasters track the eventual collision of Hurricane Sandy from the south with another storm system from the Midwest.

It's too early to say for sure what impact it will have on Ross Township and West View weather, but's it safe to say it's going to be a lot colder and wetter in the days to come.

Here's the latest from the National Weather Service:

• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 3 to 5 mph.
• Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. North wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
• Saturday: Showers. Temperature falling to around 46 by 4pm. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Saturday Night: Showers before midnight, then rain after midnight. Low around 42. North wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Sunday: Rain. High near 47. North wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Sunday Night: Rain likely before 3am, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 36. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
• Monday: Rain and snow likely, becoming all rain after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Monday Night: Rain and snow showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Tuesday: Rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Tuesday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
• Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Halloween night: A chance of rain and snow showers. Cloudy with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
