WEST VIEW, PA - A West View Elementary student waiting at a bus stop Tuesday morning was offered a ride to school from a stranger. The student refused the ride, and West View Police were immediately called by a bystander who witnessed the incident.
West View Police were able to locate the person of interest and are investigating the incident.
“We encourage you to take this opportunity to remind your student to never get into a vehicle with a stranger and to always report any questionable incidents to adults they trust as soon as possible,” West View Elementary principal Jesse Simpson said. “As always, our utmost priority at North Hills is the safety of our students.”
