In order to offer
some of its programs in local community settings, Northland Library
will sponsor a second series of Tai Chi classes on Mondays in January
from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Activities Center in Blueberry Hill
Park in Franklin Park Borough. Vincenza Furst, certified instructor,
will lead this popular series.
Tai Chi is a centuries-old Chinese practice designed to exercise the
mind and body through a series of gentle, flowing postures that create
an illusion of synchronized dance. Tai Chi can improve strength,
flexibility, balance and coordination. It may also improve heart
function and decrease blood pressure. Whether you are a beginner to Tai
Chi or have practiced Tai Chi before, you are welcome to join the group
for some beneficial exercise. Pre-registered members only!
