Join us on Library Grounds under the tent with John Lege, that guy with the birds, as he brings his feathery friends to perform for our Summer Reading Club members and their families. John Lege has been rescuing and rehabilitating birds since 1980 and now travels all over the country to present entertaining and educational programs about the world of birds. With his guitar, some magical illusions, and some audience participation, his program informs and delights people of all ages as we learn about the ordinary backyard birds in our area as well as the exotic parrots who sing songs with him and perform amazing tricks. John will bring about 15 birds to the program and welcomes picture-taking after his lively presentation. (In the event of inclement weather this program will take place in the meeting rooms.)
