Join us as we
leave the cold weather behind and visit the islands of Puerto Rico,
Martinique, St. Kitts, St. Martin/Maarten and Antigua. In Martinique,
we will see St. Pierre, this town soon became known as the new world’s
Pompeii after Mt. Pelee erupted in 1902 killing all but one of its
residents. From there, we travel to Napoleon’s wife, Empress
Josephine’s childhood home. Afterwards, we visit Habitation Clement, one
of the Caribbean’s finest plantation houses. Once in Puerto Rico, we
visit another impressive site, El Morro, the second largest fortress in
the Americas. Then in Antigua, we see Nelson’s Dockyard, built in 1743
and named after Antigua’s most famous resident Lord Horatio Nelson. No
registration is required.
