Travel Film*

This month we
will travel to New York City. We'll tour many of its landmarks,
beginning with the Statue of Liberty. this monument welcomed many
immigrants to the U.S. On our next stop we'll visit Ellis Island where
many of the immigrants were processed. At the Tenements Museum, we'll
see how the immigrants worked and lived. The largest tomb in N. America
is Grant's Tomb. We'll find out if Grant is actually buried there. If
you are in the market for a bridge, unfortunately, the Brooklyn Bridge
isn't for sale. Nevertheless, we'll learn all about it. In olden days,
NYC was guarded by many forts. We'll tour Clinton's Castle as well as
Governor's Island. We'll stroll through Central Park as well as visit
Wall Street, where Federal Hall once housed the Congress of the U.S.
For architectural lovers, we'll see the Flatiron, Empire, Chrysler
buildings as well as Rockefeller Center. So come join us. No
reservation for this program is required.
