“Little Europe”
/Switzerland This month we’re going to tour the five smallest
countries in Europe as well as Switzerland.
Vatican City – Is the world’s smallest country. We will tour St Peter’s
Cathedral and the Vatican Museum. San Marino – The world’s oldest and
smallest republic. Perched on top of a hillside. we’ll tour its three
tower fortress that overlooks the country. Liechtenstein - We’ll
discover the country’s natural beauty, nestled between Switzerland and
Austria.
Monaco- We’ll see the Monte Carlo Casino, travel down the streets of the
Grand Prix and see the Royal Palace. Andorra - Located between France
and Spain, this country is home to Europe’s largest spa as well as many
churches and building’s dating from the 1400’s , including its
claustrophobic parliamentary chamber. Zurich - We’ll tour the Frau
Munster, a church which contains five Marc Chagall stained windows.
Luzern – With its picture perfect 14th century wooden bridges, decorated
with 18th century paintings. We’ll also tour underground fortresses
built into the mountains to guard against the Nazis. Bern - is
Switzerland’s capital. Bern is known for its colorful statues and
fountains. We’ll also see a mechanical clock, still performing, that
dates from 1530.
Lausanne - Known as the “San Francisco” of Switzerland. We’ll tour
Switzerland’s largest cathedral, a unique art gallery, and the Olympic
Museum. Here is where the modern Olympics began.No registration
