'Try It Tuesday' Introduces Local Produce To North Hills School District Students
Students should look for more exciting produce recipes on select Tuesdays for the remainder of the school year.

This week, the North Hills Food Service Department introduced “Try it Tuesday” at the high school with plans to roll out the initiative at schools across the district.“Try It Tuesday” aims to bring more local produce options to students through different recipes and samples. On Feb. 22, high school students were invited to try a mushroom quinoa salad made with fresh Pennsylvania-grown mushrooms. Students should look for more exciting produce recipes on select Tuesdays for the remainder of the school year.

The initiative is run through the PA Harvest of Month Program, which NHSD participates in.
