West View Elementary School Evacuated

WEST VIEW, PA - West View Elementary School was briefly evacuated Thursday afternoon after food service workers noticed smoke coming out of a small portable freezer unit. The freezer was immediately taken outside of the building.

Students and staff were taken to St. Athanasius Church until emergency services workers determined no fire had occurred and there was no risk to anyone. All students are safe and accounted for following the evacuation, according to principal Jesse Simpson.
