Which Ross Park Mall Retailers Are Struggling To Survive?
Gymboree recently declared bankruptcy. Could one of your favorite stores soon follow?

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The steep decline of brick-and-mortar retailers this year soon could result in several empty storefronts at Ross Park Mall. Gymboree is the latest chain in the mall to declare bankruptcy but others are struggling with mounting debt and an uncertain future.
Moody’s bond credit rating agency recently identified 21 other retailers with bond ratings low enough that bankruptcy is a distinct possibility. Sears, one of the mall’s anchor stores, is on that list as well as six other retailers either in the mall or on its periphery.
They are:
- Claire’s
- Charlotte Russe
- David’s Bridal
- Eddie Bauer
- J. Crew
- Nine West
Not on that list were Ann Taylor and Justice, both of which have stores in the mall. But the parent company of both chains earlier this year announced they would be closing many of those locations in the near future.
