Woman Plummets Down Ross Hillside

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A woman was rescued Tuesday from the frozen hillside above the U-Haul in the 4700 Block of McKnight Road. Emergency workers were summoned to the scene after a U-Haul employee heard the woman’s cries for help at about 5:30 p.m.

KDKA-TV reported emergency crews had to use ropes and a basket to reach the woman, who was located about 50 feet down the steep hillside. Officials don’t know how she became trapped there.

The unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital. It’s unknown if she suffered any injuries.
