Alberta Scarfaro To Run For District Judge

Alberta "Allie" Scarfaro announced her candidacy for magisterial district judge of District Court 31-1-07, which handles cases in North Whitehall and Whitehall townships.

Scarfaro is a member of the Whitehall Township Zoning Hearing Board, a quasi-judicial body. She earned a Bachelor of Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Kutztown University.

Scarfaro, who is certified to be a Pennsylvania magisterial judge, shadowed magisterial district judges during an independent study program during her certification at Kutztown University. She observed court proceedings and the conduct of the court.

Scarfaro has experience as a supervisor, instructor, paralegal and property manager. As property manager, she represented landlords in court and filed all necessary documents.

Scarfaro said she is running because "she believes in upholding the integrity and impartiality of our judiciary," according to a new release announcing her candidacy.

Scarfaro said she is dedicated to ensuring that everyone in her court "be treated fairly without prejudice or preconceived notions"  She is committed to maintaining the quality of life and safety in our thriving community, the release said.

Scarfaro has lived in Whitehall for over a decade. She is the mother of Madison, a junior at Whitehall High School and Christian, a 7th grader.
