LCCC Foundation Holds Virtual 5K Run/Walk Event Oct. 17-24 to benefit students who have been impacted by the pandemic.
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and its Foundation will host the Fall Fitness Fest Virtual 5K event Oct. 17-24 to benefit students who have been impacted by the pandemic.
Because this is a virtual event, participants can run or walk anywhere – in their neighborhood, on the trail, around the track. Participants can also decide when they complete the event, running or walking anytime between Oct. 17 and 24.
A 5K is 3.12 miles or 12.5 laps around the local track. You can map your route using Google Maps (right click on your location and select “Measure distance”). Or use USA Track and Field’s website to create your own 5K course or find one already mapped.

Email your results to Foundation@LCCC.edu between Oct. 17 and 24. Overall results will be posted by 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26.
The race is geared to motivate you, friends, family, LCCC students and alumni, as well as the community to get out and exercise, while keeping safe and maintaining social distance and raising funds to benefit LCCC students. The 2019 event raised more than $19,000. Proceeds for the 2020 virtual 5K will support the LCCC Foundation COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund to address student needs during this crisis.

Entry fees are $25 per person, with a fee of $10 for LCCC alumni and $5 for LCCC students.
