Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) hosts the 17th annual COTA (Certified Occupational
Therapy Assistant) conference on Saturday, June 7, in
the Community Services Center, at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville.
The all-day conference is geared towards COTAs, OTs, PTAs,
PTs, and healthcare professionals who are interested in new interventions or a
refresher course. Sessions include “Recovery and Resiliency in the Older Adult
with Mental Illness”, “Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Rehab”, “Current Trends in
Mastectomy Prosthetics and Apparel”, “Neurodevelopment: The Importance of
Movement and Play on Reflex Integration and Sensory Development”, “Vision
Rehabilitation of the Neurologically Injured Patient" and "Objective
Measures in Geriatrics". Sponsors for the conference include:
Dynasplint, Good Shepherd Rehab, LVHN, St. Luke's Hospital, Manor Care, and the
OTA Advisory Committee.
Registration is accepted until May 31 and there is a $100 registration fee.
