LCCC Holds Comprehensive Phlebotomy Instruction beginning August 15, 2016

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer a comprehensive course in phlebotomy that includes 20 hours of medical terminology and 80 hours of phlebotomy classroom/lab instruction. For students interested in clinical certification, an additional 100 hours of on-the-job training is required.

Two evening noncredit courses are offered; one at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville held on Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 15 through Dec. 14, and the other at LCCC Tamaqua at the Morgan Center Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Aug. 16 through Dec. 15. Both are held from 6 to 9 p.m.; cost is $1,182.

Any additional costs, such as textbooks, materials fee and medical clearance or immunizations fees required by clinical locations, are the responsibility of the student.
