LCCC Offering Comprehensive Pharmacy Tech Training

LCCC Offering Comprehensive Pharmacy Tech Training beginning Aug. 14 through Dec. 11 at the Donley Center in Allentown.

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering a comprehensive pharmacy technician course for individuals in the retail, hospital, institutional pharmacy or manufacturing setting. Class will be held from 8 to 11 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 14 through Dec. 11, at LCCC’s Allentown campus, 718 West Hamilton Street. Cost is $1,662; text is included.

Learn basic pharmacy terms, prescription reading, medical terminology, drug delivery systems, intravenous therapy and aseptic technician preparation, chemotherapy awareness, dose, calculations, dosage forms, pharmacy law and inventory control, as well as clean room protocols, operational theory and regulatory compliance, while preparing for PTCB exam/certification.
