LCCC Offering Comprehensive Pharmacy Tech Training beginning August 2016

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering a comprehensive pharmacy technician course for individuals in the retail, hospital, institutional pharmacy or manufacturing setting. Class will be held from 8 to 11 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 16 through Dec. 8, at LCCC’s Donley Center in Allentown. Cost is $1,462; text is additional.

Learn basic pharmacy terms, prescription reading, medical terminology, drug delivery systems, intravenous therapy and aseptic technician preparation, chemotherapy awareness, dose, calculations, dosage forms, pharmacy law and inventory control, as well as clean room protocols, operational theory and regulatory compliance.
