LCCC Offers EMT Class in Schuylkill County for Fall 2020

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) partners with Lehigh Valley Health Network to offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program in Schuylkill County starting Monday Sept. 14 through Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021. Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing located at 420 S. Jackson Street in Pottsville, Pa.

The class is for individuals who are likely to respond to pre-hospital emergencies or those considering a medical career. Cost is $1,250 (text and gear included). Minimum age of 16 is required. Upon successful completion, students 18 years or older will be eligible to test for the National Registry EMT credential.

Acceptance into the EMT program is selective and requires the submission of a physician release form and proof of medical insurance.
