LCCC Offers Free Program for New Students to Learn Skills for Academic Success
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering a new, free program for new or first-generation students, adult students returning to college, as well as anyone wanting to learn skills for academic success. The 2016 Summer Bridge program will be held Monday through Thursday, August 1-4 and 8-11, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with sessions offered at LCCC sites in Allentown, Tamaqua and main campus in Schnecksville.
Students will learn tools that will help them succeed in college, beginning with an online assessment tool to explore different careers. LCCC’s Career Development Center will help students focus on their talents while increasing their knowledge, strategies and skills, in the areas of math and reading, to help the transition into college coursework.
