LCCC Offers Noncredit PA Act 235 Firearm Certification Course

Lehigh Carbon Community College offers a noncredit course for Pennsylvania Act 235 Firearm certification.

The certification course runs from June 23-27 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville. Tuition is $295. Pre-registration and a Pennsylvania State Police Approval Letter are required, and each student must supply his or her own handgun and ammunition.

Registered students receive 26 hours of instructional lecture and 14 hours of range qualification training in compliance with the Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Training Act 235 for individuals employed in providing security, protective patrol, investigative services for a fee and who carry a firearm.
