LCCC Offers Small Business Job Training for Fall 2016

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas.

· Learn to develop ideas, file for a patent and capitalize on an invention by leasing your patent rights for royalties. Patent Your Invention is offered on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. at main campus. Fee is $74.

· QuickBooks offers small businesses training on managing revenues and expenses, working with payroll and bank accounts, and monitoring budgets and inventory with reports and graphs. Class begins Friday, Oct. 21 through Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus. Cost is $187. Textbook is an additional cost.

· Payroll Certification teaches core payroll concepts, compliance regulations and reporting, principles of paycheck calculations, payroll processing, payroll systems and manual accounting skills, as well as benefits and taxation. Class will be held Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 1 through Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at LCCC Allentown. Cost is $720; text is additional.
