LCCC Offers Summer Athletic Camps for Youth - Cougar Camp Sports and Fun and Volleyball Camp

Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Athletic Department is offering sport camps for children aged 5-17, at its main campus in Schnecksville, Pa. These classes will all be held in June and July.

Set for Monday through Friday, June 20 to 24, and Tuesday through Friday, July 5 to 8, Cougar Camp Sports and Fun will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both sessions are for children in grades K through 8; cost is $100 per session. Students will learn age appropriate sports skills while playing other fun games. Campers must bring their own lunch. Register at www.gocougarsports.com/documents/2016/3/22/cougar_camp.pdf.

The following volleyball camps will be held Friday through Tuesday, July 22 to 26. These camps, which teach the skills and tactics of serving and passing and the techniques and movements of specific volleyball positions, cost $125 each. · Serving and Passing Camp from 9 a.m. to noon for students ages 12-17.

· Setters and Hitters Camp from 1- 4 p.m. for students ages 12-17.

· Junior Cougar Volleyball Camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for youth ages 8-13.

Participants are required to wear gym shoes and socks, athletic or spandex shorts and t-shirt and bring a water bottle.

Gym facilities are air conditioned, and a certified athletic trainer will be present at all camps. A parental permission form is required with each applicant’s registration form. Details can be found on the registration websites at http://www.gocougarsports.com.
