LCCC Paralegal Program Prepares Grads for Lucrative Job Market

Graduates from Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) associate degree program in paralegal studies are working in law offices and legal positions throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond, demonstrating the strong job market in the area. Recent statistics for LCCC paralegal graduates from May, August and December 2017 indicate that 68 percent are employed, 58 percent of them as a paralegal or in the legal field. In addition, 20 percent are continuing their education in majors including political science, criminal justice and public administration.

The paralegal job market is currently flourishing and salaries are competitive. Paralegal studies are excellent preparation for law school or for transfer to a bachelor’s program.

Graduates of the paralegal studies program have been hired by law firms, banks, title companies, real estate firms, and corporations in positions such as paralegal supervisor, trust coordinator, title searcher, settlement clerk, litigation specialist and contract coordinator. Many students gain experience in internships that provide them with practical experience.
