LCCC Receives Funding for Rising STARS Tuition Assistance Program effective July 1, 2016
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has received Rising STARS funding provided by the Northeast Regional Key, which is available for students taking courses in the early childhood education program. Effective July 1, 2016, the Rising STARS Tuition Assistance Program pays 95% of tuition costs for eligible college coursework taken by early learning professionals with a maximum benefit of $6,000 per fiscal year (July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017). Applicants will be able to enter multiple courses for a semester into one application for the Rising STARS Tuition Assistance Program and will no longer be required to submit a PA Certificate of Compliance or STARS Certificate.
Any staff person who is employed at a Keystone STARS designated early learning program, and has been working at an early learning program operated by that legal entity for at least twelve months, is eligible to apply for Rising STARS Tuition Assistance. Additional requirements, including Pennsylvania residency, can be found on the PA Keys portal at www.pakeys.org. Questions can be submitted to https://pennsylvaniakey.zendesk.com, by calling 800-284-6031, option #4, or by contacting the Northeast Regional Key at 610-437-6000, ext. 2316.
