LCCC Students Receive OTA Scholarship Award
LCCC students Karen Beard of Coopersburg, Ellen Brady of Whitehall, Eliza Gross of Easton and Kristen Hayward of Coopersburg were awarded.

Four Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) students recently received the Occupational Therapy Assistant Scholarship, which is funded through the program’s annual COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) conference held in June. The OTA Scholarship was established in 2003 to support Associate in Applied Science Degree students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
This award is presented to senior students entering their final semester of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Recipients must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher in OTA courses and demonstrated a commitment to the profession through community service, active participation in the professional occupational therapy organization, a passion for practice as a COTA and willingness to be an ambassador for the LCCC OTA program.
LCCC students Karen Beard of Coopersburg, Ellen Brady of Whitehall, Eliza Gross of Easton and Kristen Hayward of Coopersburg will each be awarded $500 for the spring 2020 semester, to be applied toward the cost of tuition. Also present were Terry Trittenbach and Cynthia Dexheimer, OTA Advisory Board members. Both have served nearly 20 years, are alumni of LCCC and the OTA Program, and are practicing COTAs in the community.
