LCCC Teacher Education Receives Grant

LCCC has received funding of more than $35,000 from the Northeast Regional Key of Community Services for Children

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has received funding of more than $35,000 from the Northeast Regional Key of Community Services for Children (CSC) that will help practitioners in early learning programs take credential courses and individual professional development workshops. This award supports professional development of practitioners in early childhood teacher education who are seeking to complete their Child Development Associate (CDA) or director credentials which helps to maintain the profession’s high quality.

By developing and enhancing the skills of practitioners, the CSC helps to ensure the high quality of teacher education programs and childcare facilities in the area.

More information about Community Services for Children and the Northeast Regional Key can be found at www.cscinc.org. For additional information about LCCC’s education programs, visit www.lccc.edu.
