LCCC and University of Phoenix Sign Agreement

LCCC and University of Phoenix Sign a College Alliance Memorandum of Understanding for students to obtain a 4-year degree at a reduced rate.

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) President Ann D. Bieber and Dr. Thomas Meyer, Vice President of Academic Services and Student Development at LCCC, recently signed a College Alliance Memorandum of Understanding with University of Phoenix. Through this joint effort and upon meeting all requirements, students will have a greater opportunity to further their education goals by obtaining a four-year degree at a reduced rate.

LCCC students completing the associate of arts degree who then transfer to University of Phoenix into specific undergraduate bachelor degree programs will be considered as satisfying their lower division general education requirements. The university provides a 10 percent tuition reduction for participating students and will waive the Prior Learning Assessment fee for the assessment of college noncredit training or certificate classes.

LCCC’s current course catalog will be made available annually to the university for course transfer evaluations.
