LCCC's April 20th Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Unveils New Manufacturing Equipment

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will host a ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday, April 20, to showcase new equipment that will be used by students in the advanced manufacturing training program. The open house is set for 3 to 5 p.m., with the ribbon cutting ceremony to start at 3:30 p.m. in room TC 107 of the college’s Technology Center at its main campus in Schnecksville.

The ribbon-cutting will unveil the college’s state-of-the-art manufacturing training facility with the newest pieces of training equipment purchased through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Pennsylvania’s Advanced Training & Hiring (PATH) program. The enhanced training lab enables students to develop the technical skills sought by businesses in the areas of industrial, electrical, mechanical, Programmable Logic Controller and robotics. Also, the event will recognize industry partners who support the development of the PATH manufacturing programs to ensure a qualified workforce in our region.

LCCC offers short-term certificates in advanced manufacturing training that feature the new equipment. Courses are offered through a hybrid of online and hands-on instruction, offering maximum flexibility to participants in the program.
