Lewisburg Applebee's raises over $5,000 for Camp Cadet
Decade long partnership with youth development group raises $66,000
Lewisburg, PA – March 1, 2016 – The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants raised $5,720 during its Celebrity Service event for Camp Cadet at the Lewisburg Applebee’s location on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
For the tenth consecutive year, the Lewisburg Applebee’s teamed up with local law enforcement to support the non-profit youth development camp. After dawning the Applebee’s uniform and serving diners, the officers collected tips totaling $5,720, bringing the total raised during their ten years of partnership to over $66,000.
“We are thrilled that this event, now in its tenth year, was a huge success.” Says Jeff Warden, CEO of The Rose Group. “We are proud of this opportunity to help local kids by partnering with law enforcement, and we’re excited to keep this relationship going.”

Established in 2004, Camp Cadet is a weeklong live-in camp where boys and girls ages 12-15 of Northumberland, Union, Snyder and Montour counties learn alcohol and tobacco avoidance, self-esteem, discipline, teamwork and violence prevention through military drills, classes, demonstrations and guidance from Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Officers. Due to the generosity of fundraising events such as the ‘Celebrity Service Event’, Camp Cadet campers are only charged a $35 processing fee.
