Police Blotter: Tools Stolen From Vehicle

Someone broke into a truck in the 4000 block of Portland Street, damaging its doors by trying to pry them open with a screwdriver, according to state police at Bethlehem.

The vehicle, owned by S & S Automotive, was parked in a lot owned by the business. The attempted theft occurred between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Aug. 24.

Tools were taken from an unlocked side tool box, but left on the ground, police said. A cone was also taken.

Damage to the doors was estimated at $150.
