Strawberry Acres Project Shut Down
North Whitehall supervisors' vote was unanimous.

Plans to build an active-adult community on part of Strawberry Acres were shut down Monday night by the North Whitehall Township supervisors.
Monday’s supervisors vote was unanimous, according to The Morning Call.
The proposal had called for a 55-plus, active-adult residential community on 23.6 acres of the 140-acre farm.

A lawyer representing Py Patel, the New Jersey developer who would build the community, said that he would speak to his client about continuing the fight, The Morning Call said.
Patch previously reported that neighbors worried the development would change the character of their neighborhood.
