World Fair Trade Day

Each year, the second Saturday in May is designated World Fair Trade Day - an international celebration and promotion of Fair Trade. This global trade model helps shoppers easily find items which were produced in an ethical manner. As one of the world's oldest and largest Fair Trade retailers, Ten Thousand Villages is an active participant in World Fair Trade Day each year. Join us at our Lehigh Valley Mall location on Saturday, May 10, for lots of Fair Trade fun!

Fair Trade Coffee and Cookies - Sample delicious fair trade coffee and tea from Equal Exchange(R), sweeteners from Wholesome Sweeteners(R), and European cookies meticulously crafted with the finest domestic and imported ingredients provided by local bakery Délices Européennes.

Fair Trade First Photobomb Contest - A free copy of the children's book Think Fair Trade First! will be given to each of the first 25 families that stop in on World Fair Trade Day and have their photo taken with a pledge that says "We're a fair trade family!"

Future of Fair Trade Coloring Contest - Children are the future of fair trade! Stop by the store between 4/7-5/7 to pick up a "Children Around the World" coloring page. All fully colored entries will be hung on display in the store and entered to win a $15 gift card. Winner will be drawn on World Fair Trade Day!

Pamper Mom Gift-Away - Tell us why your mom or another special mom you know deserves to be pampered, and we'll enter her into a drawing to win a fabulous fair trade gift basket! Stop by the store between 4/7-5/7 to enter. Winner will be drawn on World Fair Trade Day!
