Registration for Lehigh Valley Early Care & Education Conference is Now Open
Registration for sixth annual conference for Lehigh Valley early childhood educators is now open.
Early childhood educators in the Lehigh Valley will have the chance to earn Act 48 and continuing education units by registering for the sixth annual Lehigh Valley Early Care & Education Professional Development Day.
The conference, sponsored by Penn State Extension in Lehigh County, with support from the Northeast Regional Key, provides on-going professional development for early childhood educators in Northampton and Lehigh counties. The theme of the all-day conference, which will be held at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s main campus on Monday, October 8, 2012, is “Leading Children to Discovery.” Workshops, presentations and activities are all built around this theme.
“This conference will help early childhood educators expand their skills in helping children develop a zest for learning, exploring and discovering," said Denise H. Continenza, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator/Prevention Affiliate at Penn State Extension-Lehigh County, "The use of the environment, nature and scientific inquiry will be emphasized throughout the conference.” Continenza is a member of the conference planning committee.
