The board will be required to adopt it then, said board president Kerry Myers, as the state deadline is June 30.

And in other news, the board approved the granting of a honorary Easton Area High School diploma to former heavyweight champion and Easton native Larry Holmes.

Holmes attended school in the district until financial constraints forced him to drop out in the seventh grade, Myers said.

Holmes will receive the diploma and a copy of the resolution granting it at the high school's graduation at Stabler Arena on June 22.
