Easton Farmers' Market Seeks Artists
The farmers' market is looking for artists for its Art of the Market competition.

The Easton Farmers' Market is looking for artists to compete in the 2012 "Art of the Market" competition.
The contest is lookg for art "that captures the essence of the market and conveys its mission to support sustainable agriculture and stimulate community revitalization," the market said in a news release Monday.
Themes for the contest may include anything related to the market: pastoral images, flowers/herbs/produce, music and crafts. The contest includes three cash prizes, and one winning entry will become the market's poster for 2013.

The market, attended by many people from Forks and Palmer townships, is offering interested artists a 16-inch-by-20-inch archival art board to work on; submissions must be entered on this board.
Boards can be picked up at the Farmers' Market in Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., or at , , or .

The deadline to submit work is Saturday, Aug. 25. Artists can drop off submissions at the Farmers' Market on Saturday, or weekdays at the Easton Main Street Initiative office at 35 S. Third St.
