National Canal Museum Spring Lecture Series features Historian Emeritus Lance Metz

Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 7:30 PM Spring Lecture Series National Canal Museum Spring Lecture Series The National Canal Museum concludes its Spring Lecture Series in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Canal Society on Thursday, May 19. National Canal Museum Historian Emeritus Lance Metz will present an illustrated lecture on the Delaware and Hudson Canal, its famous suspension aqueducts and its gravity railroad. Between 1828 and 1894 the Delaware and Hudson and its feeder gravity railroads annually carried millions of tons of anthracite coal from Carbondale, PA to Kingston, NY.
