Organ Concert and reception

Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton will be hosting an Organ Concert Friday, October 21, 2011 at 7:30 pm.   A reception will follow the concert and freewill offerings will be accepted.

Organist Dale Grandfield, Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church, is the soloist.   Program selections are:   Incidental Music for    “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Op 61: Wedding March by Mendelssohn-Bartholdi; Danse Macabre, Op 42 by Saint-Saens; and Fuga a 5 voci pro organo pleno, BWV 552ii by J.S. Bach and other classical selections.  “Trinity Church is a beautiful historic building with a lovely organ”, said Grandfield, “It is a special setting for a concert “.

The concert is one in a series of music and arts programs sponsored by Trinity Church.   “Music and the Arts have the ability to bring communities together,” said Rev. Canon Andrew Gerns, Rector.  “Our church has a long history of bringing the arts, especially music to the community.   We want to revitalize our arts programming with a focus on music.   It is natural given our history and the Lehigh Valley’s strong arts communities”.
