Forks Announces Special Spring Cleanup

Forks Township residents rejoice.

The township has announced a special residential curbside yard waste recycling pickup program. And it's scheduled for a whole week.

All yard waste can be placed at curbside for the week of May 13-17.

That includes leaves, branches, twigs, bushes and garden clippings. (Branches are required to be tied and bundled no larger than 3 feet long and 4 inches wide.)

The yard waste will be recycled and composted instead of landfilled. Please make every attempt to put your yard waste out during the week. Place materials in brown paper bags or tie in bundles no larger than 3 X 3 X 3.

Amounts are unlimited. Township officials say not to include grass clippings or tree stumps.

Pickup will be the same day as regular trash pickup.
