The Forks Township Board of Supervisors usually holds two meetings each month, a work session on the first Thursday and regular meeting on the third Thursday.

Well, now there's another meeting on the schedule.

Township officials have announced that the supervisors will gather Thursday, March 14, for a special meeting to discuss a long-range plan for the township's financial future.

After deciding at the end of last year to skip a tax hike for 2013, the board decided it should examine its financial outlook and come up with a plan to deter any major tax hikes down the road.

The special meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., March 14, in the chambers of the township municipal building.

The board meets at 7 tonight (Thursday) for its monthly work session.

Among the agenda items are the Victaulic land development deal and some zoning applications being presented by Zoning Officer Tim Weis.
