Graduation Day at Shawnee Elementary
Shawnee Elementary School in Forks Township held its Moving Up ceremony Monday for students heading off to middle school next year.

They're moving on up.
No, these aren't the Jeffersons. It's the students at Shawnee Elementary School who graduated fourth grade Monday and will be heading off to Easton Area Middle School next year.
The Forks Township school held its Moving Up ceremony Monday morning as festivities kicked off with opening remarks by Principal Josephine Galloway, who stated that the fourth grade class was the first to finish its run when the school opened a few years back.

Then came a presentation of certificates to fourth-grade students from teachers: Mrs. Bilinski, Mr. Ellison, Mrs. Hakimi, Mrs. Harris and Mr. Rice.
Outstanding Shawnee Shark awards were given to Mario Embardino, Elijah Horn, Justin Johnson, Madison Storino and Emily Violante.

Student speeches were made by Christopher Taverner, Christina Clymer, Sarah Stoll, Lanie Stem and R.J. Galiszewski.
The students, led by Mrs. Ruhf, then sang "5th Grade, 5th Grade" and the Shawnee school song before exiting on the final day of the school year.
