Next Forks Manager Will Get More Money

Supervisors expect new township manager to get six-figure salary

The next manager will likely get a six-figure salary - up from the $84,930 that the outgoing manager gets, officials told the Easton Express-Times.

Supervisor C. David Howell said, "We want to attract the most qualified public administrator in the valley and salary is an important consideration.”

, Forks Township manager for about five years, at the end of the year so he can pursue opportunities closer to his home in Montgomery County.

The township will pay the Meyner Center at Lafayette College $75 an hour for help to recruit a new manager with a cap on the fees set at $5,000.

The search is expected to last about 60 days.

Officials are seeking a candidate with both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in public administration, plus prior experience in municipal administration and planning. 

The next supervisors meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 15.
