No Winner in Friday's Mega Millions Draw; Jackpot Now $550M

There was no winner in Friday's Mega Millions drawing. The jackpot has grown to $550 million.
That's right. More than half a billion dollars.
The jackpot for Friday's drawing had been $400 million, but because so many tickets were sold, the jackpot size was increased to $425 million just before the drawing.
While $550 million won't make you among the richest 400 people in America, you will be richer than, for example:
- Alex Rodriguez, worth an estimated $300 million
- Mitt Romney, worth an estimated $250 million
- Tom Cruise, also worth an estimated $250 million
- Tom Brady, worth an estimated $120 million
At $550 million, this stands to be the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot was $656 million, and was split between three winning tickets in March 2012.
Mega Millions, a multi-state lottery game, is drawn on Tuesday and Friday nights. The next drawing is Tuesday, Dec. 17.
