Supervisors Chairman Dave Colver said liquid fuels funds will be used to pay for for the salt shed.
It will store salt and bulk materials, as well as additional equipment.
Colver said this will allow salt to be stored for an entire season instead of having problems when the salt supply runs out due to a bad winter. He added that by doing so, the township can purchase salt in the fall at cheaper rates.
